Since the year 2003 these tractors have renounced the original name 'Favorit'. The newest version, which has been produced since 2003, has the name affix 'Vario'. The Fendt 716, with its compact dimensions of 4.64 m length, 2.59 m width and 2.85 m height, is a versatile tractor with a working load of 5250 kg. A special feature of the tractor is its continuous acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in almost 10 seconds, which is made possible with the built-in Vario-gearbox . The maximum speed on the road is 55 km/h. In the field a maximum speed of 28 km/h can be reached. The drivers themselves can choose whether they would like the tractor to be handled with the joystick or the accelerator pedal. At that time, Fendt had developed four-valve technology specially for the Favorit 700er series, which improved the performance of the 160 PS powerful engines and ensured a higher torque. The engine is a water-cooled Deutz-diesel engine with six cylinders as well as, among other things, a turbocharger and intercooling. The high torque mentioned is 724 Nm with 1400 U/min. From 2003 one could achieve an increase of 760 Nm with 1450 U/min. The Fendt 716's hydraulic pump operates with a considerable output of 110 I/min with a working pressure of 200 bar. In addition, alongside stability and safety the Load Sensing-System also guarantees high productivity. The lifting force of the front linkage, which is also fitted with a quick-attaching function, is 3822 kp and the hydraulic linkage is 8548 kp. From 2003 the Fendt 716 Vario, with the optional Variotronic-TI addition, can recall up to 13 stored functions per joystick. In addition, 16 sequences for four different devices can be stored.
